2024 Trap-a-Paloosa

It's the best time of the year!

Our annual Trap-a-Paloosa marks the beginning of our favorite time of the year--Hunting Season!  Whether you're a seasoned falconer or a pre-apprentice, you're sure to have a blast scouting and finding the perfect bird to be the best hunting partner for the year.  Clean off those binoculars and get your furniture ready!

 

This year, we will have two locations, one week apart:  

September 7 @ 8:00am, 2519 US-80, Selma, AL 36701 (GreenPoint Ag, Selma Co-op)

September 14 @ 7:30am, 24635 John T. Reid Parkway, Scottsboro, AL 35768 (Scottsboro Home Depot)

 

If you are trapping a bird, make sure you have your falconry permit, gerbils/mice, necessary furniture (giant hood, anklets, jesses, hood, etc), and a trap if you have one.  It's advised that label your trap with your name and falconry permit number on it.  

 

Any out-of-state falconer who wants to trap a bird in Alabama is required to possess a non-resident small game hunting license as well as his/her permit.

Typically these are full day excursions and we will usually stop as needed for breaks and lunch.
